CHILDREN'S SAGA IN GAZA

In Gaza, children are in the middle of the war against Israel. Some of them are even ready to be used as kamikaze, cause of the name of Allah. But do they know that they are doing? I don't think so. They are not so conscious to analyse the danger against them. In that case, the real criminals are those who tell them that after their bombing God is going to welcome them in his paradise. Telling such a lie to a child, is not responsible. A child doesn't know what is doing, and what is better to be done, but their active participation to the wars means that violence in these regions is forever. Stop, I say, don't use my friends as soldiers against their dreams!

  1. yep the perfect word for this is indoctrination, but it's hard to tell whether or not the same thing is happening (in a different environment) in other parts of the world. as a point of reference, I once watched an American documentary called Jesus Camp, where many of the ideas expressed were very pro-America and anti-anybody else!

  2. Ok, David, I retain the word ''indoctrination'', it is suitable. But through this pratice, when will they touch the peace in their neighbourhood with Irael? I support any camp, but I'm against children's participation to the wars, it's inacceptable

  3. Yes I believe that indoctrination is generally a very negative word. It means filling people (and children in particular) with already-established ideas so that they grow up with strong, perhaps very extreme, opinions. I don't have any solution to offer because if there is war, there are always people who are badly affected by it and whose children will receive ideas about vengeance and "fighting back" in the name of God, the family, the nation, the people who they love. Perhaps these ideas are related to programs which you see on TV - the concept of "fighting the good fight" against your enemies. And the enemies are probably doing exactly the same thing...
